Julie Trolle is a Postdoctoral Researcher at NYU Langone Health, where research focuses on employing a synthetic genomics approach to engineer mammalian cells for growth in the absence of valine. Julie previously served as an Academic Teaching Assistant at Jacobs University Bremen and co-founded Platforms For Hope, a social enterprise dedicated to manufacturing and distributing affordable lap desks in Eswatini, securing $5000 in start-up funding. Julie earned a PhD in Synthetic Biology from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from Jacobs University Bremen, along with an IB Diploma from UWC-USA.
