Susanne Carina van Den Brink

Susanne Carina van den Brink is a highly accomplished researcher with extensive expertise in developmental biology and stem cell research. Since November 2025, Susanne has been serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sanquin, following a tenure at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute where involvement spanned four years focusing on EMBO and HFSP projects. Susanne's academic journey includes multiple postdoctoral positions and notable achievements, such as earning a PhD from the Hubrecht Institute with cum laude honors and a Master’s degree from Utrecht University, also with cum laude distinction. Additional experience includes internships at prestigious institutions, teaching responsibilities at Utrecht University, and participation in the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings in 2024. Susanne has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing the understanding of cellular interactions in embryonic development and cardiac development.
