Sunny Kim

Sunny Kim is an experienced librarian currently serving as the Children Librarian at Oakland Public Library since September 2021. Previously, Sunny held the position of Teen Services Librarian at The Seattle Public Library from August 2017 to February 2021. Additionally, Sunny worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Washington, where responsibilities included streamlining online programs and supporting instructors from September 2015 to July 2017. Early career roles include outreach and library services internships at The Seattle Public Library and curriculum development for Books to Prisoners. Sunny was also a Program Assistant at Social Justice Fund NW and Co Executive Director at Seattle Young Peoples Project, demonstrating a strong commitment to youth services and social justice. Sunny holds a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's Degree in American Studies from Yale University.
