Paul Spoor

Paul Spoor has extensive work experience in the field of technology services. Paul started their career in 1982 as a Service Manager at Comm*Data Systems, where they achieved success in managing Michigan's largest Commodore service center. Paul later worked at Business Integrated as a Service Manager, overseeing all service-related aspects of the business. In 1985, they started their own business, Computer Solutions, which provided technology consulting solutions for local businesses and municipalities.

In 1988, Paul joined Micro Computer Systems Incorporated as an Executive Director, where they reorganized a nine-store service facility and implemented a national mail order service system. Paul also led development projects for designing new computer products.

From 1989 to 1999, they worked at Huron Valley Schools as a Technology Supervisor and Director, responsible for managing technology operations. Paul then joined Brandon School District as a Technology Director, where they served for 13 years and successfully managed two bond projects exceeding $100 million.

Since 2012, Paul has been working at Oakland Schools, initially as an IT Director for Field Services before being promoted to ACTO (Assistant Chief Technology Officer) and later to Executive Director. Paul currently holds the position of Executive Director of Technology Services at Oakland Schools.

Paul Spoor completed their education in a chronological manner. From 1981 to 1982, they attended Control Data Institute, where they obtained a degree in Computer Technology Management. Later, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Kennedy Western University. Additionally, during the same period, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Management of Information System from Kennedy Western University. From 1999 to 2012, Paul attended Michigan School Business Officials, where they achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems. In July of 2014, they obtained the certification of MSBO School Technology Management from the same institution.
