Paul Fontaine

Paul Fontaine is an experienced urban designer and educator with a diverse background in community engagement and architectural planning. Currently serving as a Lecturer at the University of Michigan and a Community Engagement Officer at Oakland University, Paul has also led Fontaine Urban Design since 2009, focusing on strategic partnerships to advance economic development and urban design initiatives. Previous roles include Program Director for the Michigan Engaging Community through the Classroom and Senior Project Manager at the University of Michigan, as well as a Strategic Planning Coordinator for the State of Michigan. Paul holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Poetry from the University of Michigan. Notable projects include contributions to improving Detroit's urban landscape and fostering digital inclusion.
