Lawrence Perlmutter has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 1990, they started their career at Ralphs Grocery Company, where they worked as a Head Cashier & Trainer for 20 years. In this role, they supervised cash transactions, managed checkout stations, and trained new cashiers while also serving as a Job and Life Coach for two employees with disability challenges. Lawrence made significant contributions to loss prevention by training cashiers on money handling and detecting counterfeit money.
From 2010 to 2014, Lawrence worked at The Deaf Academy as a Mathematics Teacher and Sign Language Teacher. In addition to teaching, they developed individualized education programs for students with disabilities.
Starting in 2014, Lawrence joined Swiss American Jewelers as a Sales Associate/Bookkeeper/Consultant. Lawrence increased store retail sales by 65% through building customer relationships and expanding accounts. Lawrence also learned conversational Hebrew, Spanish, and Tagalog to better communicate with customers.
In 2020, Lawrence worked at Keefe Commissary Network as a Delivery Specialist for a year, where they specialized in delivering goods. In 2017, they briefly worked as a Sales Associate at JEWEL HOUSE.
Lawrence's recent work experiences include being a Care Specialist at Oakmont Senior Living, a Job Coach at ETTA, and a Caregiving Specialist at Visiting Angels, all in 2022. Currently, they are employed as an Assistant Program Director at Brookdale Senior Living.
Lawrence Perlmutter completed their high school education from Erikson High School, receiving a Diploma in the field of High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates in the years 1988 to 1990. After that, they pursued further education at Pepperdine University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from 1989 to 1993.
