Joshua MacDonald

Joshua MacDonald has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Joshua started their career at Lakeridge Ski Resort as a Night Kitchen Manager from December 2008 to March 2012. Joshua then worked at Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility as Support Staff from April 2009 to November 2012. Next, they joined Toronto Marriott City Centre as a Bellperson/Front Desk Agent from March 2013 to September 2014. During this time, they provided concierge services and recommended dining and entertainment options to guests.

Joshua later joined Rogers Communications as a Facilities Services Event Duty Manager from February 2012 to September 2018. In this role, they supervised a team of 60 employees, monitored their performance, and managed building cleanliness during events. Joshua also worked at Dagmar Ski Resort as a Kitchen Supervisor from December 2012 to March 2013, and Ripley's Aquarium of Canada as a Housekeeper from October 2016 to January 2017.

Since 2015, Joshua has been associated with Oak View Group. Joshua started as a Housekeeping Supervisor from February 2015 to August 2016. Joshua later became an Operations Manager from September 2016 to November 2021. In this role, they supervised the building's operations staff, managed set-ups and take-downs for events, concerts, and hockey games, and ensured the overall performance of the operations team. From November 2021 to June 2022, they served as a Senior Manager of Events and Ice Programming. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Events and Ice Programming at Oak View Group, located at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.

Joshua MacDonald attended Durham College from 2013 to 2014, where they pursued a degree in Hospitality Management with a focus on Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism. Joshua obtained the following certifications: CIT from ORFA in November 2020, Certified Pool Operator in September 2017, and Smart Serve from the Ontario Government in 2011.
