Bennet Yee has had a long and varied career in the tech industry. Bennet began in 1995 as a Software Design Engineer/Cryptographer at Microsoft, then moved to the University of California, San Diego in 1996, where they were an Assistant Professor. In 2003, they joined Google as a Software Engineer, where they worked on security and distributed systems, as well as developing and researching security advanced development. In 2016, they moved to Snapchat, Inc. as an Information Security Engineer. Most recently, in 2018, they joined Oasis Labs as a Software Engineer, where they work on secure remote computation.
Bennet Yee received their BS in Mathematics and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University between 1981 and 1986. Bennet then went on to pursue a PhD in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University from 1986 to 1994.
