Huiwen Zhao

Huiwen Zhao is a legal professional with extensive experience in legal counsel and compliance management. Currently serving as Legal Counsel & Compliance Manager at Oasis Management Company Ltd. since July 2022, Huiwen is responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents and handling the formation of funds and SPVs. Previously, Huiwen worked as a Legal Assistant at Tencent from December 2021 to June 2022, collaborating with external counsels on regulatory matters and providing legal support for corporate and commercial activities. A Litigation Paralegal at Mayer Brown from September 2017 to November 2021, Huiwen assisted in cross-border commercial arbitration and litigation, focusing on investment and shareholder disputes. An internship at CIETAC Hong Kong Arbitration Center in early 2017 included case management and contributions to legal publications. Huiwen holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Common Law from The University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Law from Dalian Maritime University.
