Utkarsh Tomar

Utkarsh Tomar is the current People Lead at Observe.AI. Utkarsh has also worked as a Senior HR Business Partner Manager at Flipkart from October 2017 to November 2019, and an HR Business Partner -Manager at IBM from June 2014 to September 2017.

At Observe.AI, Utkarsh leads the HR team and is responsible for all aspects of employee relations, workforce planning, and talent development. Utkarsh also works closely with the management team to ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed.

At Flipkart, Utkarsh was responsible for leading HR for the User Intent, Data Science and Order Management System organisation. Utkarsh worked closely with BU Heads to understand business priorities and build/align the people agenda basis it.

At IBM, Utkarsh was responsible for managing 180 managers for GTS Business Unit for IBM India and around 2500 employees. Utkarsh worked with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues, ensuring a balance in representing all parties’ interests. Utkarsh also partnered with clients to roll out all key people processes (performance management, compensation, benefits, development programs, workforce planning, succession planning and skill assessment etc.)

1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) in HRM from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

2. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Information Technology from IEC-CET, Greater Noida, (U.P.T.U.).

3. Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in PCMB from Kendriya Vidyalaya.

4. Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) from Stella Maris Convent.

5. Certification from IBM Cognitive Class in Big Data Foundations - Level 1.
