Brian O'Rourke

Brian O'Rourke has a diverse work experience spanning various biotechnology and medical research companies. Brian is currently working at Obsidian Therapeutics as the Principal Scientist in Process Development. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Scientist in Cell Therapy Process Development at the same company. Before joining Obsidian Therapeutics, Brian worked at Sentien Biotechnologies as a Senior Scientist and Scientist, contributing to the fields of cell therapy and biotechnology. Additionally, they worked as a Lead Scientist at MicroCures, where they conducted research in scientific advancement. Brian also gained consulting experience at The Solution Lab, Inc. as a Consultant. Brian further expanded their research capabilities through roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In these positions, they focused on various research projects related to cancer biology and cell migration. Brian started their research journey during their undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, where they conducted research on dynein intermediate chains. Brian O'Rourke received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from the University of Notre Dame in 2009. Brian went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Sciences from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2014. In addition, they completed the Fundamentals of the Bioscience Industry Certificate Program. Prior to their college education, Brian attended Chaminade High School from 2001-2005.
