Jason Gradel

Strategic Account Director at Obsidian

Jason Gradel has a long history in the tech industry, beginning with Citrix in 1997. Jason held various roles there, including Director, Global Alliance Sales Strategy, Director Strategic Alliance - Microsoft, Director - Netscaler Business Development, Sr. Area Manager - Sales Engineering, and Sr. Sales Engineer. Jason also worked as a Support and Systems Analyst. In 2013, they joined HYCU, Inc. as Sales Director - US West, launching their next-gen data protection product and leading sales for the Western US. Jason was also a founding sales team lead and signed the first Canadian reseller. In 2018, they moved to Veeam Software as Territory Sales Manager - Orange County, San Diego and Hawaii. In 2020, they joined Sumo as an Enterprise Account Executive, SoCal. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Director of Sales - West Region and Enterprise Account Director at Obsidian Security, where they work to protect SaaS and cloud services from account takeover, insider threat and identity sprawl. Jason is also a Board Member and Special Advisor at Global Wave Group.

Jason Gradel has an extensive educational background. Jason completed their MBA at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School from 2005 to 2006, and they earned their B.S. in Pre-Med, Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University between 1993 and 1997. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including VMSP from Veeam Software in September 2018, NSEN from Nutanix in March 2018, CCSP from Citrix in December 2013, and NCSR from Nutanix.
