Emily Krause

Emily Krause has a diverse work experience in the fields of innovation, research, and project management. Emily started their career at OneEleven 111, where they held various roles including Events Coordinator, Manager of Special Projects, and Innovation Program Specialist. Their responsibilities included planning, executing, and assessing events and initiatives for stakeholders, as well as managing the expansion and office move of OneEleven.

Emily then joined Hackworks as a Manager and later as a Senior Manager of Innovation Programs, where they played a key role in overseeing and executing innovation programs.

Currently, Emily is working as the Managing Director at OCAD U CO, a Futures Design studio of OCAD University. Emily is responsible for integrating futures thinking, systems thinking, and design thinking to improve products and services for organizations seeking transformation and change. Emily also has experience as the Director of Research & Innovation Projects at OCAD U CO, where they led business development and managed projects in strategic foresight, innovation strategy, user research, and concept development.

Overall, Emily has demonstrated their expertise in innovation, project management, and event planning throughout their career.

Emily Krause completed their Master of Design Strategic Foresight and Innovation degree from OCAD University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Global Health Specialist from the University of Toronto. Emily also holds a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Toronto. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Storytelling for Influence from IDEO U in 2023, Blueprint X Leadership and Management Training from Raw Signal Group in 2021, and Introduction to Human-Centred Design from IDEO in 2018.
