Philip Thomas

Philip Thomas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in analytics, data science, and petroleum engineering. Currently serving as the Head of Analytics and Decision Making at Bank OCBC NISP since July 2023, Philip has previously held significant roles including Head of Decision Science at Gojek and Co-Founder - Chief Data and Product at Bonza. Philip’s background encompasses various positions in data science and reservoir engineering across notable companies such as Traveloka, Grab, and Total E&P. The educational background includes a Ph.D. in Petroleum Investment and Decision Analysis from the University of Stavanger, a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung. Philip's expertise also includes mathematical modeling, optimization, and decision-making tools in both petroleum and consumer platform sectors.
