Anne Simonis serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at San Francisco State University's Estuary & Ocean Science Center since July 2023, while also working as an Acoustic Ecologist for Ocean Associates, Inc. since May 2019, providing expertise for NOAA/NMFS divisions in California and Hawaii. Prior experience includes roles as an Acoustic Ecologist at Lynker Technologies, a Postdoctoral Researcher at Greeneridge Sciences, and a Science Education Consultant at the National Academy of Sciences. Simonis holds a Master's degree in Marine Biology from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a Bachelor's degree in Ecology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Extensive outreach activities showcase a commitment to mentoring and educational initiatives in ocean science and bioacoustics.
