Luis Cabral

Luis Cabral is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in emergency medicine and anesthesiology. Currently serving as Medical Director and Emergency Medical Dispatcher at Serviço Regional de Proteção Civil e Bombeiros dos Açores since October 2016, Luis oversees emergency medical call regulation and coordinates medical air evacuations across the Azores. As an instructor for the American Heart Association and at Madeira International Disaster Training Center, Luis teaches advanced and basic life support to healthcare providers. Luis has held multiple key roles, including Flight Physician at Hospital de Santo Espírito da Ilha Terceira, member of the COVID-19 technical response group for the Azores Government, and anesthesiologist at various hospitals. Luis's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Lisbon and a Master's in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine from Universitat de Barcelona.
