Hong Qi

Hong Qi has a diverse work experience spanning several pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Their most recent role is as Vice President of Tech Ops at Ocelot Bio, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to that, they served as the President of Qi and Associates Inc. starting in April 2021. From April 2019 to April 2021, they were the Vice President of Product Development at Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Before that, they held various positions at Otonomy, Inc., including Vice President of Product Development from January 2017 to August 2018 and Sr. Director of Product Development from an unknown start date to December 2016. Hong Qi was also the Sr. Director of Product Development at Bristol-Myers Squibb from 2012 to 2014, and at Amylin Pharmaceuticals from March 2008 to August 2012. Hong also served as the Director of Product Development at Amylin Pharmaceuticals from December 2005 to February 2008. Prior to that, they worked as the Associate Director of Pharm R&D at Pfizer from September 2003 to December 2005. Hong Qi began their career as a Research Scientist at Pfizer in March 1992 and worked there until July 1997. Before that, they were a Senior Scientist at G D Searle Monsanto from August 1997 to February 2000. Their earliest recorded position is as a Group Leader at Pharmacia from March 2000 to August 2003.

Hong Qi completed their Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutics from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University between 1978 and 1985. Following this, between 1986 and 1992, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from The University of Kansas.
