Sean Beary

Sean Beary has a wealth of work experience. Sean began their career as an Associate Software Engineer at Intrado in 2004. Sean then moved to Hewlett-Packard in 2006 where they worked as a Software Engineer in the Disk Backup Group from 2008 to 2011. In this role, they were the Technical Lead for the manageability features and designed, developed, and tested features and enhancements for HP's StoreOnce data deduplication software. In 2011, they joined Digi-Data as Manager of Solutions Engineering, where they managed a software development team and devised and documented solutions for OEM customers. In 2015, they joined Comcast as a Senior Principal Engineer, where they managed the Storage Engineering and DevOps team for video solutions and products and led the architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale cloud object storage and traditional file storage. In 2018, they moved to DigitalOcean as an Engineering Manager. Most recently, they joined Ocient in 2021 as Director of Software Engineering and Senior Engineering Manager.

Sean Beary attended the Colorado School of Mines from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
