Amyas Holroyd has 14 years of work experience in the field of opto-electronic development engineering. Amyas started their career in 1997 as a Test Development Engineer at Nortel Networks. Amyas later worked as an Applications Engineer at the same company, where they provided customer support and created datasheets and application notes for Erbium Doped Fibre Amplifiers. In 2007, they joined OCLARO as a Senior R&D Engineer, focusing on the development of Indium-Phosphide Mach–Zehnder interferometers and Tunable DS-DBR lasers for telecommunication applications. Amyas is currently working on 10Gbit/s and 100Gbit/s tunable laser and modulator components.
Amyas Holroyd attended the University of Surrey from 1990 to 1994, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Hons degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
