Robert Griffin has over 30 years of work experience in the field of engineering. Robert worked at OCLARO from 2009 to the present as a Senior Principal Engineer, where they played a significant role in component and module development for various data transmission speeds. Prior to that, they worked at Bookham from 2002 to 2009 as a Senior Engineer, focusing on the development and deployment of optical DQPSK technology. From 1999 to 2001, Robert worked at Marconi Optical Components as a Senior Engineer. Robert also has research experience as a Senior Research Fellow at University College London from 1996 to 1999, and as a Research Fellow at the University of Kent from 1990 to 1994. Earlier in their career, Robert worked as a Development Engineer at AOFR Pty Ltd from 1987 to 1990.
Robert Griffin obtained a PhD in Physics from the University of Kent between 1990 and 1994.
