Daniel Hickstein

Daniel Hickstein is an accomplished Principal Scientist at Octave Photonics since October 2021, specializing in nanophotonic chip technology within a versatile, small team. Prior to this role, Daniel served as a Senior Research Scientist at Kapteyn-Murnane Laboratories, where leadership was demonstrated in developing the eXtreme Ultraviolet Ultrafast Source. Career experience also includes managing VUV-generation products at KMLabs and a Technical Marketing Engineer role, optimizing applications for ytterbium-fiber lasers. A Postdoctoral Research Associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology focused on chip-scale waveguides and frequency combs.
