Gene Frantz

Co-founder And CTO at Octavo Systems

Gene Frantz has a diverse work experience in various companies. Gene co-founded Octavo Systems, LLC in 2015 and served as the Chief Technology Officer there. Before that, they worked as a Professor in the Practice at Rice University starting from 2013. Prior to that, they had a long career at Texas Instruments, where they held multiple roles including Principal Fellow and TI Fellow. At Texas Instruments, they were responsible for business development, applications management, and finding new uses for Digital Signal Processors. Gene worked at Texas Instruments from 1984 to 2013.

Gene Frantz earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida from 1969 to 1971. Gene then pursued a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University between 1975 and 1977. Later on, they obtained an MBA from the Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business, completing the program from 1980 to 1982.
