Lorenzo Faccioli

Lorenzo Faccioli is an experienced Data Engineer currently working at Octopeek since November 2018, where responsibilities include reducing technical debt through software refactoring, contributing to internal projects, and providing training on big data technologies. Significant missions include creating visual applications for Enedis and participating in studies for a data lake implementation for Banque de France, involving decisions on programming languages and computing frameworks. Lorenzo previously served as a Research Scholar at CEA from 2012 to 2018, and held postdoctoral positions at Peking University and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 2006 to 2012. Lorenzo earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Laurea in Electric Engineering and Physics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
