Kerrigan Slaughter has been working in the marketing and customer service field since 2017. In 2017, they began working as an Agent's Assistant for Brittani Morris - State Farm. In this role, they were a member of the sales and customer service team, working alongside other team members and the agent to complete various sales goals and maintain the current client base. Kerrigan also planned and attended marketing events for the agency. In 2018, Slaughter began working as a Marketing Manager for OCV, LLC, a custom mobile app development company for law enforcement and public safety agencies across the nation. In this role, they were responsible for the management of projects and campaigns within the marketing department, as well as partnering with the internal sales team to achieve outreach goals and generate leads. Kerrigan also previously held the role of Marketing Representative at OCV, LLC.

Kerrigan Slaughter obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Auburn University Harbert College of Business in 2020. Kerrigan also attended Jefferson State Community College from 2016 to 2018, studying Business. In addition, Slaughter holds certifications from Hootsuite in Social Marketing and the Hootsuite Platform, obtained in September 2019, as well as a Microsoft Office Specialist Excel 2016 certification obtained in October 2018.
