Barry Ezell

Barry Ezell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in decision and risk analysis, currently serving as Deputy Executive Director and Chief Scientist at Old Dominion University's Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center since November 2018, having previously held the role of Chief Scientist from September 2008 to July 2018. With 26 years of expertise, Barry specializes in modeling terrorism risk, critical infrastructure vulnerability, and cyber risk to industrial control systems. Prior positions include Deputy Chief of Studies and Analysis at the Army Capability Integration Center, where Barry led strategic planning for Army studies, and Deputy Director of The Army School System, focusing on course utilization across various military branches. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Engineering/Industrial Management from Old Dominion University, a Master's in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering Technology from The University of Southern Mississippi.
