Melanie Philofsky has over 18 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry. Melanie began their career in 2001 as a Charge RN in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Here, they managed staff assignments, emergency response, and transport, and was commended by patients and supervisors for their outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. In 2002, they moved to Boulder Community Hospital, where they served as a Critical Care RN. In this role, they managed all phases of the care cycle for critically ill adults, and developed a nursing care plan in coordination with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff. In 2016, they became an Independent Consultant for the University of Colorado Denver, where they worked as a Healthcare Data Analyst and Terminology Specialist. Most recently, they have been a Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager at Odysseus Data Services, Inc. since 2018.

Melanie Philofsky obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Sonoma State University between 1997 and 2000. Melanie then went on to earn a Master of Science in Health Care Informatics from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus between 2014 and 2016. Additionally, they hold certifications in Colorado RN, BLS, ACLS, and Donor Alliance Tissue Designated Requestor.
