Marguerite Guidry has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Marguerite started their career as a Medical Advocate and Crisis Counselor at YWCA USA in 1998, where they worked until 2000. Marguerite then joined Metropolitan Center for Women and Children as a Crisis Counselor from 2000 to 2002. In 2010, Marguerite worked as a Critical Care RN at Touro Infirmary for a year before moving to River Oaks Behavioral Health Hospital in 2011, where they served as a Nurse Manager for the Dual Diagnosis Unit until 2015. Marguerite then joined Ochsner Health System as a Utilization Manager, Clinical Review Team from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, Marguerite joined Anthem as a Behavioral Health RN Case Manager and worked there until 2019. Most recently, they have been employed at Odyssey House Louisiana, starting as a Program Manager in 2019 and currently holding the position of Director of Nursing since July 2021.
Marguerite Guidry has a comprehensive education history. Marguerite obtained a Master of Nursing degree with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse/Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where they studied from 2023 to 2025. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the same university, which they completed from 2020 to 2022.
Marguerite also holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, which they obtained in 2020. Before pursuing their bachelor's degree, they attended Charity School of Nursing and earned an ASN degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from 2008 to 2010.
Marguerite'seducational journey began at the College of Charleston, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General, from 1995 to 1999.
In addition to their academic achievements, Marguerite Guidry has obtained various certifications. Marguerite earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certification from Purdue University in August 2020. Furthermore, they hold certifications in ACLS and BLS, acquired from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in May 2010 and January 2010, respectively.
