Mark Connolly

Mark Connolly has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mark started their career as a Trainee Accountant and Assistant Financial Controller at Hammond Lane Metal Company in 1995 and worked there until 2000. In 2001, they joined Jurys Doyle Hotel Group as a Project Accountant for a brief period before moving on to Jurys Custom House Inn as a Financial Controller from 2001 to 2003. Mark then took on the role of Financial Controller at Jurys Hotel Ballsbridge from 2003 to 2005. In 2010, Mark became involved with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, where they served as the President of the Mid West Branch from 2010 to 2011 and later chaired the CIMA Mid West of Ireland Branch from 2011 to 2012. Mark then joined Limerick City and County Councils (Lead Authority) in 2015 as the Head of HAP (Housing Assistance Payment) Shared Services Centre, holding the position until 2016. Currently, Mark is working as the Head of Finance / Director of Services at Offaly County Council, a position they assumed in June 2020.

Mark Connolly completed their Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) degree with a concentration in Business and Economics from Trinity College Dublin, spanning from 1991 to 1995. Following that, they pursued further education at Lad Lane Business College from 1995 to 1998, where they earned an ACMA degree in Accountancy.
