Andrew Tainton

Andrew Tainton has a strong background in software engineering and technology leadership roles. Andrew is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at OfferZen since January 2023. Prior to this, from April 2020 to September 2022, they served as the Head of Technology at JEFF Fitness. Andrew also worked at 2U, where they held the positions of Director of Engineering, Placements from July 2019 to April 2020, and Engineering Team Lead from October 2018 to July 2019. Before that, they worked at GetSmarter as a Developer Manager/Skilled Software Developer from March 2016 to October 2018, and as a Software Developer from January 2014 to March 2016. Andrew's early career includes a role as a Tutor of Commercial Programming at the University of Cape Town from August 2012 to December 2013.

Andrew Tainton completed their education in a chronological manner. Starting in 2009, they attended Stellenbosch University where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on information systems and quantitative management. Andrew completed this degree in 2011.

Afterward, from 2012 to 2013, Andrew attended the University of Cape Town where they obtained their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a specialization in Management Information Systems, General.

Continuing their studies at the University of Cape Town, they pursued an additional degree in 2013. Andrew completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honours in Information Systems during this time.

In addition to their formal education, Andrew has obtained several certifications. In January 2020, they received a certification in Nutrition Science from the Stanford Center for Health Education. In October 2018, they completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme offered by the University of Oxford Saïd Business School. Additionally, in June 2018, they obtained a certification in Big Data and Social Analytics from the MIT School of Architecture and Planning.
