Gerald Williams has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Gerald began their career as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Aerosud, where they gained practical experience in MATLAB programming, fatigue testing, and report writing. Gerald continued to enhance their skills by pursuing a Research Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stellenbosch University, although they decided to shift their focus towards a career at Accenture after facing challenges in completing their degree.

At Accenture, Gerald took part in the Accenture Graduate Program and was placed in the Accenture Microsoft Business Group. During their time there, they worked as a Data Science Analyst, where they gained expertise in data modeling and visualization for the Energy & Chemicals client. Gerald also worked as a Business & Integration Architecture Analyst, working on projects involving BI development, data warehousing, ETL, and automation for clients in the FMCG and Energy & Chemicals industries.

Gerald later joined Deloitte South Africa as a Digital Engineering Consultant, where they contributed their skills in digital engineering to various projects. Currently, they are employed at OfferZen as an Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst, utilizing their expertise in business intelligence to provide valuable insights to the company.

From 2013 to 2016, they attended Stellenbosch University and obtained a Professional Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In 2020, they participated in Kellogg Executive Education at Northwestern University, where they completed a course titled "Northwestern University 101: Leading with Analytics."

Prior to their university education, Gerald attended Wittedrift High School from 2008 to 2012 and received a National Senior Certificate.

In addition to their academic achievements, Gerald has obtained various certifications. Gerald became a Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals and a Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals in January 2022. In June 2020, they obtained the certification of Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals. Furthermore, in January 2020, they became a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals. Gerald also holds the designation of Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist, which they obtained in July 2019. Lastly, in April 2020, they achieved the title of Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate.
