Nicholas Botes has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Nicholas started their career at Tariffic in 2012, where they worked as a Software Developer and later as a Software Engineer and Architect. From August 2014 to May 2016, they served as the Head of Development at Tariffic. In June 2016, they were promoted to Chief Technology Officer, a position they held until March 2018.

In 2018, Nicholas joined OfferZen as a Technical Team Lead. During their tenure from March 2018 to August 2019, they contributed to the growth of the marketplace and played a crucial role in changing the recruitment model for software developers and other technical roles in South Africa. Nicholas then progressed to the role of Head of Technology from September 2019 to March 2021.

Currently, Nicholas holds the position of Head of Engineering at OfferZen, starting from April 2021. Nicholas'sextensive experience and expertise make him a valuable asset in leading the engineering team at the company.

Nicholas Botes completed their education in a chronological order. From 2002 to 2006, they attended St David's Marist Inanda, where they did not obtain a specific degree or field of study. After completing high school, they joined the University of the Witwatersrand. From 2007 to 2009, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering Science (BEngSc(BME)) in Biomedical Engineering. In 2010 and 2011, they continued their education at the same university, earning a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc(Eng)) in Electrical Engineering. Finally, from 2013 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Science in Engineering (MSc(Eng)) in Electrical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Nicholas Botes has obtained two certifications. In July 2017, they completed "The Active Citizen in a Digital Age" certification program at NovoEd. In September 2016, they obtained the certification of Registered Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) from the Engineering Council of South Africa.
