Greg Morhart

Greg Morhart has extensive work experience in the IT field, starting their career as a Network Operator at Rocky Mountaineer in 1996. Greg then worked as a District Systems Analyst at the Province of British Columbia, Ministry of Forests from 1997 to 1998. Following this, they served as a System Administrator at CMH Heli-Skiing from 1998 to 2000.

In 2002, Morhart joined Canfor Forest Products - Vavenby Division as an IT Consultant, and simultaneously started their own consulting company, Morhart Consulting Services, where they worked as a Project Manager from 2002 to 2008.

From 2007 to 2015, Morhart worked as an IT Security Team Lead and Developer at Mighty Oaks. During this time, they gained expertise in IT security and development.

In 2015, Morhart joined the Office of the Auditor General of B.C. as an IT Audit Manager. In this role, they assessed risks and controls in IT environments, evaluated the impact of those risks and controls on business objectives, and developed and executed computer-assisted audit techniques. In 2022, Morhart was promoted to the position of Director of Information Technology Audit, where they currently serve.

Greg Morhart's education history includes two main qualifications. Greg earned a degree in Computer Systems Operations & Management (CSOM) from Thompson Rivers University, which they attended from 1993 to 1996. Later, they pursued a degree in Information Systems Security from the International Information Systems Security Consortium, completing their studies from 2007 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Greg Morhart has obtained several certifications. Greg earned the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) certification from ISACA in February 2016. Furthermore, they obtained the Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) certification from the SANS Institute in August 2016. Lastly, Greg achieved the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in February 2008.

Overall, Greg Morhart's educational background consists of a CSOM degree from Thompson Rivers University and a CISSP degree from the International Information Systems Security Consortium. Greg has also acquired certifications such as CISA, GICSP, and CISSP.
