Melissa Diorio, SHRM-SCP, has extensive experience in human resources, holding various leadership positions throughout their career. Melissa'smost recent role was as the Chief Human Resource Officer at the Office of the Comptroller of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where they started in August 2020. Prior to that, they served as a Senior HR Business Partner at the Executive Office of Technology Services and Security from June 2018 to August 2020. Melissa also worked at the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, first as a Senior Operations Manager from September 2013 to June 2015, and then as the Director of Human Resources from June 2015 to June 2018. Before that, they were the Director of Human Resources at the Middlesex District Attorney's Office from October 2010 to September 2013. Melissa began their career at the Department of Revenue as a Benefits and Leave Supervisor from May 2006 to November 2010. Melissa also worked at the City of Cambridge as a Payroll Analyst from June 1998 to May 2006.

Melissa Diorio holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Salem State University. Melissa also has a Certificate in Public Service Leadership and Management from Suffolk University. In August 2017, they obtained the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM.
