Alela M Katsivo is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in prosecution and legal consultancy. Currently serving as a Student Intern at Crown Prosecution Service since April 2024, Alela has also held the position of Prosecution Counsel at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions since October 2018. Previous roles include Associate & Human Rights Consultant at Katindi & Company Advocates, Legal Officer at the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development, and a Pupil at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, where Alela developed skills in legal drafting and research. Alela began the legal journey as a Student Attache & Researcher at the City Court and worked briefly as an Election Clerk for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. Alela is pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Law and Security at the University of Birmingham, following a Postgraduate Diploma in Advocate Training Programme and a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B) from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
