Dustin Morrison

Dustin Morrison, MPA has diverse work experience in various government and political roles. Dustin currently serves as the Deputy Director of Legislative Outreach and Advocacy at the Office of the Illinois State Treasurer, where they facilitate partnerships and educates stakeholders on the Illinois Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act. Prior to this role, they were an Advocacy Manager, Community Affairs Specialist, and Outreach Assistant at the same office.

Additionally, Dustin has volunteered as the District Governor for Kiwanis International since 2022. Dustin previously worked as a Legislative Liaison and Manager of Mandates and Reporting at the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, and as a Downstate Policy and Outreach Analyst at the Office of the Governor- Illinois.

Dustin has also gained experience in political campaigns, working as the Director of Paid Canvassing and a Field Organizer for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Dustin has held several other roles, including Assistant to the Director of Aeronautics at the Illinois Department of Transportation, Field Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator for Quinn/Simon for Illinois, and Field Organizer for the Illinois Senate Democratic Victory Fund.

Before entering the government and political sector, Dustin worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Illinois House of Representatives- 112th District, Collinsville, IL, and as a Regional Field Organizer/Field Office Manager for Colleen Callahan for Congress.

Dustin Morrison, MPA, holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Illinois Springfield, which was obtained in 2016. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the same university in 2009. In addition to their academic qualifications, Dustin has obtained several certifications, including Group Fitness Instructor and Certified Personal Trainer from the American Council on Exercise (ACE Fitness). Dustin also holds a Graduate Certificate in Management of Nonprofit Organizations from the University of Illinois, obtained in 2016.
