Ashley Callen

Ashley Callen currently serves as General Counsel for the Office of the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, a position held since November 2023. Prior experience includes serving as General Counsel for the Office of The Majority Leader and Deputy Staff Director for the House Oversight & Reform Committee. Additional roles span various committees, including Chief Counsel for Oversight & Investigations on the House Judiciary Committee, Senior Advisor & Counsel, and General Counsel & Staff Director for the House Committee on Science, Space, & Technology. Ashley Callen has also worked as Deputy Chief Counsel for Oversight with the House Committee on Agriculture and held multiple positions within the House Committee on Oversight & Government Reform. Callen began a legislative career as Legislative Director for a House Republican Member of Congress. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School and a Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in French from the University of South Carolina. High school education was completed at Choate Rosemary Hall.
