Rose Barcelo has been in the instructional design industry for over 15 years. Rose started their career at Convergys in May 2003 and quickly rose through the ranks to become one of their lead instructional designers. In their time at Convergys, they were responsible for overseeing the execution of intake projects, conducting needs assessments and designing curriculum for new and existing clients. Rose was also part of the new business LS/ID team that supported new clients in terms of curriculum and training materials and needs.
In December 2018, Rose left Convergys to join Upkeep Media Inc. as their Director of Operations. In their current role, they are responsible for the overall operations of the company, including project management, budgeting, and staffing. Rose is also responsible for generating and creating assessment reports and needs analysis for Upkeep Media's clients.
Rose Barcelo has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from University of San Carlos and a Diploma in Teacher Education and Professional Development with a focus in Specific Subject Areas from St. Theresa's College Cebu.
