Alex Skinner

Alex Skinner is currently a Legal Team Manager (Principal) at Ofgem since July 2018. Prior to this role, Alex has held positions as a Senior Expert Lawyer and a Senior Lawyer at the same company. Before joining Ofgem, Alex worked as an Associate at Ashurst from April 2016 to October 2017 and as an Associate at DLA Piper from October 2014 to February 2016. With a background in law, Alex started their career as a Lawyer at Minter Ellison in November 2007, where they also served as a Trainee earlier on. Alex pursued their legal education at City, University of London, completing the Qualified Lawyers' Training Scheme - England and Wales, Legal Professions and Studies from March 2020 to December 2021. Prior to that, Alex obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in International Law and Comparative Law from the University of Sydney from 2006 to 2009, following a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in European History, Art History and Theory from the same university from 2003 to 2005.
