Deputy Legal Director at Ofgem

Diana Deju-Wiseman has a diverse work experience that spans several prominent organizations. Diana is currently serving as the Deputy Legal Director at Ofgem since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Ofgem as the Principal Legal Adviser from August 2019 to December 2022, as well as the Senior Legal Adviser from December 2018 to August 2019, and as a Legal Adviser from June 2018 to December 2018.

Before joining Ofgem, Diana worked at the Government Legal Department as a Barrister from September 2013 to May 2018. Diana also gained valuable experience at the Financial Ombudsman Service, where they worked as an Adjudicator from November 2011 to August 2013. In this role, they managed a personal caseload and was responsible for case progression and resolution, particularly focusing on complex claims under the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

Diana Deju-Wiseman began their education in 2005 at Boston University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and French. After graduating in 2008, they continued their academic journey at Queen Mary University of London, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws degree between 2008 and 2010.

Diana then enrolled at Kaplan Law School in 2010 to pursue the Bar Professional Training Course, focused on Inner Temple. Completing this program in 2011, Diana expanded their knowledge and skills in the field of law.

In addition to their formal education, Diana Deju-Wiseman also obtained various certifications. In September 2012, they received the Professional Banker Certificate from the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Later that year, in December, they also obtained a Certificate in Dispute Resolutions from Queen Margaret University.

In January 2013, Diana acquired the Professional Banker Diploma in Banking Operations, adding to their proficiency in the banking sector.

Currently, Diana Deju-Wiseman is pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Management and Leadership at Coventry University, a program they began sometime after 2008 and is set to complete in 2022.
