Alex Wendker

Alex Wendker has a diverse work experience history. They started their career as a Research Intern at the Marine Biology Lab in 2017. They then worked as a Rental Sales Representative and Outdoor Trip Leader at UCSB Adventure Programs from 2017 to 2018. Following this, they held the position of Worm Wrangler at Associated Students of UC Santa Barbara, where they managed a student-run farm and conducted research on farming practices. In 2020, Alex worked as a Sustainability Intern at Apeel, where they conducted life cycle assessments and presented key findings to the company. In 2021, they interned as a Plant Team Intern at Pivot Bio. Currently, Alex works at Ohalo Genetics as a Research Associate I, and has recently been promoted to Research Associate II.

Alex Wendker attended UC Santa Barbara from 2016 to 2020 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies. Additionally, in 2018-2019, Alex studied Environmental Studies at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. In November 2020, Alex received a certification as a Yoga Instructor through a 200-hour Teacher Training program at YogaWorks, Inc.
