Louis Elrod

Louis Elrod is a political operative with more than ten years of experience in campaign, nonprofit, and party politics at the state and national level.

Louis began his political career as a campaign manager running mayoral, legislative, district attorney, and congressional races. In 2016 Louis managed the campaign to defeat Georgia’s school takeover on the statewide ballot, which was rejected by a margin of 60-40%.

Since 2013, Louis’s work in the progressive space has gone from running political operations for a statewide policy nonprofit to crafting strategy for a communications-focused consulting firm. From 2015 to 2019, he served as president of the Young Democrats of America, and advocated for youth issues as a member of the Democratic National Committee Executive Committee.

Louis earned his degree in political science from the University of Georgia. He lives and works in Atlanta and cannot be reached during UGA football games.
