Kyla Hurns

Kyla Hurns is currently serving as a Higher Education Policy Analyst at EdTrust since August 2024. Hurns has comprehensive experience in leadership and policy through various roles, including a Corporate & General Management Advancing Black Pathways Fellow at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and a Google BOLD Immersion Participant. In addition, Hurns holds significant positions within The Ohio State University, notably as Chair of the Undergraduate Black Caucus, focusing on communication and collaboration among Black students. Hurns is a founding member and Director of Systems and Operations for the Undergraduate Society of Black Leaders and engages in research as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. Hurns has also participated in the Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program and gained practical experience as a Senate Page for Senator Sandra Williams. Hurns is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy, Leadership and Management at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University.
