Dan Pittman

Dan Pittman has a strong background in communications and marketing. Dan is currently serving as the Senior Director of Communications at Ohio University, where they are responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans, overseeing crisis and issues communications, and leading teams that support University news and media relations. Prior to this role, they served as the Interim Senior Director of Communications at Ohio University.

Before joining Ohio University, Dan worked at the College of Health Sciences and Professions at Ohio University. Dan held the position of Marketing Communications Manager, where they oversaw the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications program. Dan also served as the Associate Director of Communications, where they supported and executed communications strategies for the college.

Earlier in their career, Dan held various communications roles at Ohio University. Dan was an Assistant Director of Communication Services, where they supported the Senior Director of Communication Services in creating and implementing strategic communications programs. Dan also served as the Organizational Communications Manager and the Media Relations Manager, where they managed internal and external communications programs and served as the primary contact for media inquiries.

Dan started their career as a Marketing Specialist at Ohio University Credit Union.

Dan Pittman received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from Ohio University in the years 1999 to 2003. Dan then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Communication and Media Studies from Ohio University between 2004 and 2005.
