Matthew Ando

Matthew Ando currently serves as the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio University since July 2023. Previously, Matthew held various positions at the University of Illinois, including Professor and Chair in the Department of Mathematics, as well as Associate Dean for Life and Physical Sciences in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences from August 2017 to August 2023. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, obtained from 1988 to 1992, and an AB in Mathematics and Linguistics from Princeton University, completed from 1984 to 1988.
