Nisha Patel

Nisha Patel, MD, currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer of OhioHealthy, leading clinical care operations for the provider-owned health plan and enhancing health plan quality and performance through collaboration with clinical leaders. Prior to this role, Nisha held the position of Regional Vice President of Health Services at Humana, where management of a team exceeding 200 associates facilitated services for over 450,000 Medicare Advantage members across three states. Nisha's extensive experience includes roles as Medical Director at Humana, Vice Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at Mount Carmel East Hospital, and Partner Physician at Sound Physicians. Nisha co-founded Associates in Inpatient Medicine, growing the practice significantly, and has been involved in teaching and administrative roles within medical education. Nisha's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from Ross University, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Ohio State University, and specialized training in value-based care and executive health administration.
