Tetsuya Kawai

Tetsuya Kawai began their work experience as a JOCV at 【公式】JICA海外協力隊 from December 1997 to December 1999. Tetsuya then worked at Panasonic as a System Engineer from April 1994 to March 2005. In April 2008, they joined TT Network Integration Asia Pte Ltd as a General Manager, a position they held until December 2021. Currently, they serve as the Chief Information Officer/Vice President for Information Technology at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) starting from January 2022.

Tetsuya Kawai earned a Master of Science degree in Physical Chemistry from Osaka University between 1992 and 1994. Later, they pursued a Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology at Osaka University from 2005 to 2008.
