Leslie Woodward has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations and roles. In 2021, Leslie joined the Oklahoma City Community Foundation as a Community Programs Manager. Between 2010 and 2021, Leslie was a Co-Founder & Vice President at the Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC). From 2014 to 2020, Leslie served as Co-Founder & Executive Editor at Balkan Diskurs. Additionally, Leslie worked as an Associate Project Manager at the War Art Reporting & Memory Foundation (WARM) from 2012 to 2020. From 2011 to 2020, Leslie was a Co-Creator & Program Manager at the Western Balkans Coalition for Genocide and Mass Atrocity Crimes Prevention. Back in 2010, Leslie was a Program Developer at the Center for Justice and Reconciliation and also worked as a Grant Writer & Event Coordinator at the Association for Former Concentration Camp Detainees of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2009, Leslie held multiple roles including President at Students for Africa, University of Denver Chapter and Research Manager & Event Facilitator at the Leadership Institute for New Sudan (LIONS). Earlier in 2006 and 2007, Leslie served as Fundraising Chair at the Kenya General Ministries Team, Baylor University.

Leslie Woodward pursued their education at Baylor University from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, with a focus on General Biology. After taking a break from their studies, Leslie enrolled at the University of Denver - Josef Korbel School of International Studies from 2009 to 2011. During this time, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International/Global Studies, delving deeper into the field of international relations and global studies.
