Cara Gluck

Chief Public Health Strategist at Oklahoma City County Health Department

Cara Gluck has extensive work experience in public health and emergency preparedness. Cara is currently serving as the Chief Public Health Strategist at the Oklahoma City County Health Department since May 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Administrator Emergency Preparedness & Response at the same organization from December 2020 to May 2021.

Before joining the Oklahoma City County Health Department, Gluck worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Health for over 16 years. Their roles there included Chief Preparedness Strategist from December 2019 to December 2020, Regional Director from May 2017 to December 2019, and Western District Coordinator from March 2014 to May 2017. Cara also served as a Preparedness and Response Planner from March 2006 to March 2014 and as a Public Health Specialist from January 2004 to March 2006.

Gluck began their career as a Communications Specialist at MediFlight Oklahoma from October 2002 to December 2003.

Cara Gluck earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Subsequently, from 2008 to 2010, they pursued their Master of Public Health degree in Disaster Management at American Military University.
