James Kopanidis

James Kopanidis possesses extensive experience in sports management and operations, currently serving in a strategic role within basketball operations at the Oklahoma City Thunder since February 2018. Prior to this, James held various positions at The Madison Square Garden Company, including Ticketing Analyst and multiple roles with the New York Knicks, Rangers, and Liberty. James contributed to Columbia University in the City of New York as a Graduate Co-Lecturer in Sports Accounting & Finance and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. With a background in analytical chemistry from Cummins Inc. and youth coaching in basketball at several institutions, James combines technical expertise with a passion for sports. Academically, James earned a Master of Science in Sports Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne.
