Kirk Jackson

CFO, VP, Business Affairs, Associate Professor of Accounting & Finance at Oklahoma Wesleyan University

Kirk Jackson is currently the CFO, VP of Business Affairs, and Associate Professor of Accounting & Finance at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Kirk has also previously worked as the Accreditation Liaison Officer at John Brown University and as the Director of Graduate Business Programs and an Associate Professor at Southern Nazarene University. Jackson has also been a Peer Reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission.

Jackson has a long history of working in higher education, both in teaching and in administration. Kirk began their career as an Associate Professor of Accounting, teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses. Kirk then transitioned into administration, first as the Director of Graduate Business Programs and then as the Accreditation Liaison Officer. In their current role as CFO, VP of Business Affairs, and Associate Professor of Accounting & Finance, Jackson is responsible for the financial health of the university as well as teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting and finance.

Jackson’s research interests include topics in accounting and finance as well as pedagogy topics of critical thinking in business education. Kirk has published several papers on these topics and has presented at various conferences. Jackson’s commitment to higher education and their wealth of experience make him an asset to Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

Kirk Jackson has a Doctor of Business Administration from Anderson University, a Master of Accountancy from Emporia State University, an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor's degree in Finance & Philosophy from Southern Nazarene University.

Kirk Jackson reports to Jim Dunn, President. Kirk Jackson works with Jerome Van Kuiken - Dean of Ministry & Christian Thought, Sunshine Hattingh - Director of Student Success, and Megan Young - Director of Residential Life.
